Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is natural gas that has been processed to remove impurities—typically resulting in a product that is over 90% methane—and then cooled to cryogenic temperatures for liquefaction. The result is a colorless, odorless, non-corrosive, and non-toxic liquid that occupies approximately 1/600th the volume of its gaseous form, making it significantly more efficient to transport and store.
